White as Lilies was her face

Wow, just wow. Performances such as this…take you to another realm. The acoustics must have been magnificent in person.

Awake, sweet Love! ’tis time to rise:

Phœbus is risen in the east,

Spreading his beams on those fair eyes

Which are enclosed with Nature’s rest.

Awake, awake from heavy sleep

Which all thy thoughts in silence keep!

From Henry Youll’s Canzonets to three voices, 1608.

Author:

"If he's honest, he'll steal; if he's human, he'll murder; if he's faithful, he'll deceive. Being at a loss to resolve these questions, I am resolved to leave them without any resolution." I have so much to say to you that I am afraid I shall tell you nothing."
